Encounters Screenplay 1 and Screenplay 2 include the script of the twenty part Encounters: Chinese Language and Culture dramatic series. Screenplay 1 includes the dialogue in English, pinyin, and simplified Chinese. (Future printings will be updated to include traditional Chinese.)  Screenplay 2 includes the dialogue in English, pinyin, traditional and simplified Chinese. Instructors may use the screenplays to help students comprehend the dialogue of the movie, which is spoken at an authentic speed, and use them as resources for classroom activities, such as acting out scenes from the drama. The dramatic series, many short videos, and hours of audio accompany Encounters Student Book 1 and Student Book 2 and are available at www.EncountersChinese.com
