Editor for Classics and Ancient World
I acquire books engaging with the ancient world that will make lasting contributions to scholarship and the public sphere. The list I’m building is one of an interdisciplinary nature, including classics, ancient history and cultures, literature, religion, politics, biography, and other topics in the humanities and social sciences relating to the ancient world. I’m drawn to innovative projects that present cutting-edge scholarship for a broad readership, including scholars and general readers. I look for books that grapple with enduring issues rooted in global premodernity, from Greece to China. By looking to the ancient world, I want to publish books that will also shed light on the present day.
